Word Verification
Sorry for having to turn on the word verification for commenting, but the spambots have finally found my blog.
“Conceive of memory not only as ‘rote,’ the ability to reproduce something (whether a text, a formula, a list of items, an incident) but as the matrix of a reminiscing cogitation, shuffling and collating ‘things’ stored in a random-access memory scheme, or set of schemes – a memory architecture and a library built up during one’s lifetime with the express intention that it be used inventively.” – Mary Carruthers, The Craft of Thought

Yes. Mine too. I will probably cave in soon. I wish Blogger had access to CraigsList's fiendishly clever word verifcation software. Generally very, very funny words.
I am doing a one-one tutorial with an extremely bright kid and asking him to start a blog as part of his work for me. He's not too keen. D'you know where the folks at Teaching Writing in an Online World are these days? A great site, but nothing recently posted there.
Maybe dealing with start of the school year issues? The blog is connected with TechNotes, and that Bedford/St. Martin's New Media department is generally busy this time of year.
